Pukekohe Association Football Club was established in 1960 and the club has a proud tradition of developing junior and senior soccer skills, as well as a long history of fielding competitive teams that enjoy success as well as sportsmanship and the benefits of physical fitness.
We currently have 859 club members, boasting 716 junior/youth members (largest junior sports club in the Franklin area) and 143 senior members (over 18 yrs of age), creating 9 senior mens and womens teams. We have 14 Auckland Elite players, 3 Auckland Elite coaches and the club is a major feeder to newly formed Franklin United Football Club.
Currently we run an in-house programme ‘First Kicks & Fun Football Plan’ based at the A & P Showgrounds every Saturday morning where we provide football playing opportunities for our younger children. We have nearly 250 children (from 4yrs-9yrs) attend every week.
Our community benefits immensely by our club providing these children a fun and safe environment to learn to play football through the use of games, drills and skills. We use Pukekohe High School students who are completing their Duke of Edinburgh Badges who volunteer to assist us with running these Pods of children every Saturday with coaches and parents providing supervision.
Last year we have introduced an All Stars Pod. This is a Pod of disabled children from the community with a range of disabilities.
